Do I need an account to shorten a URL?
No. Guest users can shorten up to 5 links per day without creating an account. However, signing up for a free account gives you 1,000 links per month, click counts, custom slugs, QR codes, and link management features. Registration takes less than 30 seconds.
How long do shortened links last?
By default, all LinkDevi short links are permanent and never expire. If you want a link to deactivate after a certain date or after a set number of clicks, you can configure an expiration when creating the link. Expired links show a clean expiration notice instead of a broken page.
Can I edit a short link after creating it?
Yes. Logged-in users can update the destination URL, change the custom slug, add or remove password protection, and adjust expiration settings at any time from the dashboard. The short link itself stays the same, so you never need to redistribute it.
What analytics are included on the free plan?
The free plan includes total click counts only. Paid plans unlock detailed analytics including unique visitors, geography, device and browser breakdowns, referrer sources, exports, and real-time reports.
